TITLE:                                            Paralegal DEPARTMENT:                          Legal REPORTS TO:                             Senior Vice President, General Counsel SUPERVISES:                               N/A STATUS:                                        Part-time, Non-exempt JOB SUMMARY: The Paralegal will assist the Legal department in all facets of the company’s broad range of legal needs, including contracts, transactional documents, workers compensation, litigation and administrative support. The position requires the ability to demonstrate sound judgment, organizational skills, and adaptability to a fast-paced work environment. Some duties may include: DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assistance with all legal and contractual matters as well as department projects Drafting and reviewing a variety of different types of contracts, including but not limited to customer and vendor agreements and non-disclosure agreements. Assistance in tracking the lifecycle of all contracts, monitoring applicable deadlines and ensuring execution. Tracking workers’ compensation claims. Maintaining original and electronic contract files. Providing litigation support as needed. Providing administrative assistance for General Counsel and Associate General Counsel as needed. Representing the Club in a positive and professional manner at all times. Other duties as assigned. JOB REQUIREMENTS:  Must meet the following minimum requirements: Minimum of a 4-year Bachelor’s degree. Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved program or provide evidence of compliance with the requirements of California Business & Professions Code Section, 6450 et. seq. regarding paralegals. Minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or a corporate legal department is required. Ability to proofread typed material for contextual, grammatical, typographical or spelling errors. Proven track record of results in a legal Proficient to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook. General knowledge of office skills, use of office equipment. Strong collaboration, communication, time management and organizational skills. Proven ability to multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines. Excellent written and verbal skills. Minimum physical requirements: able to travel to and gain access to various areas of the ballpark for prolonged periods of time during games and events; able to lift and transport up to 25 pounds. Possess high degree of discretion, integrity, professionalism, and accountability. Consistent, punctual and regular attendance. Professional image and demeanor.
